Posters and Oral Presentations
The maximum poster size allowed is 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (length). Adhesive tape and drawing pins will be provided. Speakers should hand in their Power Point Presentations (on CD, or USB memory device) to the organization as early as possible after their arrival to the Congress venue.
Congress proceedings and submission of papers |
The proceedings will include all submitted and accepted oral and poster presentations and will be made available to the participants at the beginning of the Congress. Only one contribution per registration will be accepted. Two alternative ways for publication of the presentations will be possible: a)abstract; or b) extended congress paper. The Scientific Committee will select the oral contributions based on the preferences of the autors and interest to the broad audience of participants in the Congress.
Types of papers:
Authors of oral or poster presentations can submit either an abstract (one page) or an extended congress paper (up to four pages) for the proceedings. Manuscripts should be written in standard English in MS Word, Times New Roman 12 pt. font, and single-spaced throughout (DINA4, 21 x 29,7 cm). The margins should be 2.5 cm. The papers have to be submitted camera-ready and figures and tables included in the text. Authors are responsible for the content and layout. Papers needing major revision will be sent back to the author(s).

Abstract: brief and informative (not to exceed 200 words)
Key words: maximum of 6, in alphabetical order
Main text: Headings (Introduction, Material and methods, Results and discussion, Acknowledgements, References) in bold. Subheadings (if needed) in italics.
References: The literature references should be arranged alphabetically and in text referred to as: (Puskas et al., 2004, Jacobsen and Schouten, 2007) or Puskas et al. (2004) and Jacobsen and Schouten (2007). Citations of personal communications and unpublished data should be avoided, unless absolutely necessary. Such citations should appear only in the text as: (J. Prohens, pers. commun.) and not in the reference list. Abbreviate titles of periodicals. Follow the style shown below:

Tables: Tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals, followed by the title. Only horizontal lines should be included in the text.
Figures: Each figure should be included in the text. Extremely small type should be avoided. Figures as well as legends should be identified by Arabic numbers. Where multi-part figures are used, each part should be clearl identified in the legend, preferably with (lower case) letters.
Manuscript submission: All manuscripts (MS Word files) should be sent as a single file by e-mail to the Organizing Committee (eucarpia@upvnet.upv.es) clearly indicating the corresponding author full name and the name of the author that will register for the congress (if different from the corresponding author). For files too large (>5 Mb) to be submitted by e-mail, please contact the Organizing Committee (eucarpia@upvnet.upv.es).
Deadlines |
Deadline for submitting the contributions (abstracts or extended congress papers) is 31 March 2008. Contributions from authors who have not registered by 30 June 2008 will not be included in the proceedings.
Please fill and submit the preliminary registration form before July 31, 2007. The second announcement will be distributed by November 2007. Deadline for early registration will be May 31, 2008
